Typing Through 2024, Dreaming of 2025

🌟It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of the year.

This feels like the perfect time to look back on everything we’ve done in 2024 and share a little sneak peek of what we’ve got planned for 2025.

It’s been an incredible ride so far, and we’re just getting started！

How It All Started

Back in mid 2023, I met Solar in what I’d call a totally random, but meant-to-be moment.

What brought us together?

Honestly, keyboards and cats (yeah, we’re those people) and a shared belief in building something meaningful and fun. Fast forward a few months of late nights and lots of caffeine, and we had our first demo ready by October 2023.

Looking back, it’s crazy how much the product has grown since then. The response to our crowdfunding campaign blew us away—it was way beyond what we expected. The support and enthusiasm from the community were unreal, and it gave us the confidence to push forward.

The Reality of Building

If there’s one thing we learned quickly, it’s that making a prototype and actually mass-producing something are two completely different ballgames. Getting a product into people’s hands takes a lot of patience and a relentless attention to detail.

Shout-out to Solar and our firmware lead for being absolute legends throughout this process. Without their dedication to making every detail perfect, we couldn’t have delivered to our backers in just five months.

Along the way, we pulled together an amazing production team and built some solid manufacturing facilities to make sure everything runs smoothly.

Dreaming Bigger

By mid-2024, we realized we could aim higher. The positive comments and (very helpful) feedback from our community gave us the boost we needed to grow even more.

Here’s what we’ve been up to since:

Designing NocFree X, our next product, with a focus on a specific group of hardcore keyboard enthusiasts.
Expanding into South Korea and crushing it with strong sales and a growing reputation. Big props to Emma, our brand development manager, for leading this effort like a pro.
Improving our switches to make typing feel even better—because we know how much that matters.
Our team has grown so much this year. We’ve doubled in size, bringing in new people with fresh ideas and skills to help us do even better.

Oh, and we’ve got some big news coming early next year. We’ve been working on a new NocFree Lite, packed with upgrades based on what you’ve told us. Think:

USB-C ports on the keyboard (finally!)
Stronger wireless connections
Lower latency
Premium keycaps

Watching the team come together has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey. None of this would have been possible without you—our community.

Your patience, trust, and honest feedback have been everything to us. It’s been a learning curve, and we’re so grateful you’ve been along for the ride, even when things weren’t perfect.

What’s Next?

2025 is shaping up to be huge. We’re exploring new products and markets and planning some surprises we think you’re going to love.

The keyboards you ship are defective. The LED lights blink constantly while plugged. You accepted the fault and replied me that you are going to ship me a new one on September 2024. Today is April 9, 2025!! Have some pride besides entrepreneurship :)
